It’s easy to focus on large-scale humanitarian aid.

However, for our "Winter Aid" Firewood Project, small donations hold a unique and vital place in providing life-saving support. Every small contribution, whether it’s a few dollars, plays an essential role in the fight against the harsh Romanian winter for the elderly and vulnerable.

Small donations are important because they represent the collective power of a community coming together. While one small donation may seem insignificant on its own, when combined with thousands of others, it creates a powerful force capable of heating homes and protecting lives.

Small Donations Are Accessible to Nearly Everyone

Not everyone can buy an entire truckload of firewood, but nearly anyone can "buy a bundle" or contribute a small amount to the "Winter Fund." This inclusivity empowers individuals from all walks of life to participate in this critical mission, fostering a culture of generosity and shared responsibility for our elders.

From a Logistical Perspective, Frequent Small Donations Allow Us to Plan

Our "Winter Aid" program relies on purchasing large quantities of wood before the snow falls and prices skyrocket. Large, sporadic donations are helpful, but they may not provide the reliable support needed to plan effectively.

When people give even a little, they become more invested in the cause. Consistent small donations create a predictable budget, allowing our partners at Fundația Tabor to purchase wood in bulk at a better price, plan their delivery routes, and ensure we reach every family on our list.

The Need Is Urgent and Ongoing

Food insecurity and fuel poverty affect millions, including vulnerable populations like the elderly. Small donations provide the consistent foundation needed to run this emergency relief program every single year.

Finally, small donations matter because they embody compassion. Each small act of giving reflects kindness, reminding those in need that they are not alone. For many struggling families, receiving a delivery of firewood—made possible by many small donations—is a lifeline. This emotional support and the message that God sees them is just as critical as the physical warmth.

In conclusion, small donations are not just important; they are indispensable to the success of our "Winter Aid" project. They create a sustainable and inclusive model that empowers communities, supports our logistics, and delivers both physical and spiritual hope.
